Anniversary Memories with Parvin, Hila & Heshmat

To renew my faith in the leaderless green movement, which I joined two years ago, and which I support to this day, I only have to listen to murdered protester Sohrab's mother Parvin, poet Hila Sedighi, or jailed activist Heshmatollah Tabarzadi.

به نام خدا

با سلام و درود فراوان خدمت خانم ها و آقایان محترم و هموطنان عزیز در خارج از کشور. بسیار دوست دارم که روزی شما عزیزان را در وطن ملاقات نمایم.

همچنان که همگی می‌دانیم دو سال از روزها و از خردادی میگذرد که برای خیلی از ماها هیچگاه پایان ندارد همیشه آنچه بود و آنچه شد و گذشت می بایست چراغی برای آینده ما مردم باشد.

از همه کسانی که برای آزادی برابری، عدالتخواهی و تحقق دموکراسی در جای جای دنیا همدلانه و صبورانه، اما پیگیر و فارغ از منیـّتها و خودخواهی‌ها تلاش می کنند بسیار سپاسگذارم. انسان‌هایی که به دغدغه هایی بزرگتر و فراتر از خود می اندیشند.

اگر همگی دیروز به چگونگی رفتن سایر فرزندان این سرزمین درست می‌اندیشدیم و عمل می‌کردیم، شاید بعد از آن شاهد از دست رفتن صانع‌ها محمدها و هاله ها نمی بودیم. رفع ظلم، حقوق بشر، دموکراسی و تحمل و به رسمیت شناختن حقوق همگی، حتی مخالفین با صبر و تلاش خستگی ناپذیر همگی ما دور از دسترس نیست. به شرط آنکه به خود نیز بنگریم.
در پایان احساسم بر این است که تمام فرزندان سرزمینم برایم سهراب هستند و دوست دارم سهراب‌ها همگی سلامت باشند و در ساختن ایرانی آباد و آزاد با هم کوشش نمایند.

به امید آن روز و با آرزوی سلامتی و موفقیت روزافزون برای همگی شما عزیزان در خارج از کشور

In the name of God...

greetings to respectable ladies and gentlemen and my dear compatriots outside the country. I would very much like to meet you all in our country. As you are well aware, two years have passed since June, 2009, a time which never ends for many of us. What transpired must always light our way into the future.

I would like to thank all who tirelessly struggle for freedom, justice and democracy, wherever you are; all those who have patiently and persistently put their hearts into it without any selfish goals. These are people who think about problems bigger than their own problems.

If we had all followed up and acted on how our children were killed yesterday, perhaps today we would not be witnessing the killings of people like Mohammad Mokhtari, Sane Jaleh and Haleh Sahabi.

Through our common and persistent struggles, it's not too hard to achieve peace, democracy and human rights and patience where we recognize everyone's rights, even those of our adversaries. But we have to look inside ourselves.

At the end, I feel like all the children of this land are Sohrabs to me and I want all Sohrabs to stay well and struggle together to build a free and prosperous Iran. I await those days and wish you all well outside the country
