According to reports sent to Jaras, the atmosphere in Tehran is one of complete security today. Security forces are already located at Imam Hossein Square, Enghelab Square, 7 Tir, Vali Asr, Darvaze Dolat, Ferdowsi, Amir Kabir, Fatemi, and all streets surrounding the University of Tehran. Their goal is to create fear amongst the citizens.
According to the same reports, security forces have also been established in front of the Seda O Sime (IRIB) and Vali Asr Square.
According to ISNA, today Sardar Hossein Sajedinia Tehran's head of security reported of military maneuvers designed to establish security in the capital city and said the following with regards to the presence of military forces in Enghelab and Azadi "Starting 9 am this morning, Tehran's police forces have begun major security exercises designed to enhance the operational safety of the community. Our goal is to test the preparedness of the security forces with regards to speed and efficiency."
Sajedinia confirmed the security atmosphere in Tehran and stated "Fortunately the police forces were able to report to their location of duty within 20 minutes, indicating the level of preparedness of our forces." He pointed to the fact that the special security forces will remain in their designated,( i.e. Enghelab and Azadi), positions until noon today and said "The drills today are taking place so that the police forces are ready during special events when they will be required to act decisively."
In other news, an International Conference entitled "Khordad 22nd - Baham 22, Lessons & Insights" took place at the IRIB's broadcasting center attended by Mohammad Ali Ramin deputy Minister of Culture and in collaboration with organizations such as Fars News Agency, IRNA, Borna, The Iranian Women News Agency, Resa, The Association of Muslim Journalists, Javan Newspaper, Resalat Newspaper, Iran Newspaper, The Organization of Basiji Teachers, The Islamic Union of Students, The Office of Consolidation of Unity (Shiraz) and the Association of Islamic Students. As per reports by Fars News, the topics discussed included "The healthy and greatness of the Elections in 1388, the role of the government vis-a-vis the opposition forces, examining the role of foreign media and the action of domestic media, the role of the Supreme Leader and his management of "Velayat-e Faqih" (Supremacy of the Jurist) and the manner in which military forces dealt with opposition forces after the elections of 1388.
On the eve of the 22nd of Khordad (June 12th), media outlets, and official and semi official security forces have begun new moves. At the same time, reform parties have submitted a request for permit to hold silent protests to the Ministry of Interior for the anniversary of the 10th presidential elections.
These reform parties and organizations are committed to silent demonstrations, without slogans, without speakers, without statements, unarmed and peaceful, in complete accordance with national security measures, only using Green symbols and banners that request a return to the fundamentals of the Constitution and the right to free and fair elections.
In a letter to the Ministry of Interior, the reform parties have stated that in the event that a permit to protest is issued, they will take responsibility for the overall security. However, maintaining security and preventing disruptions during the protests by "opportunistic individuals and those who aim to disrupt", will be the responsibility of law enforcement agencies and security personnel.
To date, a response has not been received from the Ministry of Interior.

برقراری جو پلیسی و امنیتی در آستانه ٢٢ خرداد
جـــرس: در آستانه ٢٢ خرداد و برگزاری مراسم راهپیمایی و تجمعات جنبش سبز در تهران و شهرهای مختلف کشور، منابع خبری از تهران، "برقراری جو پلیسی- امنیتی در سطح خیابان ها"، "مانور نیروهای گارد ویژه در محل تعیین شده برای راهپیمایی" و "استقرار ماموران انتظامی و لباس شخصی در نقاط مهم شهر" را گزارش کرده اند.
به گزارش منابع خبری جرس، جو تهران امروز کاملا امنیتی بوده و نیروهای ویژه، در میدان های امام حسین، انقلاب، هفت تیر، ولی عصر، دروازه دولت، فردوسی، امیرکبیر، فاطمی و همچنین تمامی خیابان های اطراف دانشگاه تهران مستقر شده و سعی در ایجاد رعب و وحشت در میان شهروندان دارند.
این گزارش ها همچنین خاطرنشان کرد روبروی صدا و سیما و خیابان ولی عصر نیز، یگان ویژه مستقر شده اند.
در همین راستا و به گزارش ایسنا، امروز سردار پاسدار حسین ساجدی‌نیا فرمانده انتظامی تهران بزرگ از اجرای مانور موسوم به «ارتقای امنیت در پایتخت» خبر داده و در رابطه با دلیل حضور نیروهای پلیس در خیابان‌های انقلاب و آزادی اظهار کرد: "از ساعت نه صبح امروز، نیروهای عملیاتی پلیس تهران بزرگ در یک تمرین عملیاتی به منظور ارتقای امنیت جامعه حضور یافتند تا میزان آمادگی نیروها از جهت سرعت و دقت در ماموریت‌ها سنجیده شود."
این فرمانده انتظامی در ادامه سخنان خود پیرامون جو ایجاد شده در تهران مدعی شد "خوشبختانه ظرف بیست دقیقه ماموران در محل ماموریت حضور یافتند که این موضوع نشان دهنده چابکی و سرعت عمل نیروهای پلیس است."
وی با اشاره به اینکه نیروهای ویژه، "امروز تا ظهر در محل‌های موردنظر در خیابان انقلاب و برخی میادین اصلی پایتخت مستقر می شوند"، تصریح کرد: "تمرین عملیاتی امروز برای مواقع خاص که نیاز به حضور پلیس است انجام می‌شود."
از سویی دیگر، همایشی تحت عنوان «٢٢ خرداد- ٢٢ بهمن، فصل عبرت‌ها و بصیرت‌ها»، در مركز همایش‌های بین‌المللی صداوسیما با حضور محمدعلی رامین معاون مطبوعاتی وزارت ارشاد و با همکاری ارگان هایی چون صدا و سیما، خبرگزاری‌های فارس، ایرنا، برنا، خبرگزاری زنان ایران، رسا، انجمن روزنامه‌نگاران مسلمان، روزنامه جوان، روزنامه رسالت، روزنامه ایران، سازمان بسیج اساتید، اتحادیه جامعه اسلامی دانشجویان، دفتر تحكیم وحدت (طیف دولتی شیراز)، اتحادیه انجمن‌های اسلامی دانشجویان مستقل برگزار شد و بنا به آنچه خبرگزاری فارس گزارش کرده، موضوعات مورد بحث در این مراسم، "سلامت و عظمت انتخابات سال ۸۸، بررسی نقش دولت‌های استكباری در جریان فتنه، بررسی نقش رسانه‌های بیگانه و عملكرد رسانه‌های داخلی، نقش رهبری و مدیریت ولایت فقیه در حوادث پس از انتخابات و چشم‌انداز نظام در ورای فتنه ۸۸، موضوعات این همایش است. "
در آستانه بیست و دوم خرداد، رسانه ها، ارگان های نظامی و شبه نظامی و همچنین مقامات امنیتی، تحرکات جدیدی را آغاز کرده اند.
طی روزهای اخیر، احزاب اصلاح طلب و معترضان به نتایج انتخابات دور دهم ریاست جمهوری، برای برگزاری "راهپیمایی سکوت" از وزارت کشور درخواست مجوز کرده اند.
این احزاب و تشکل ها همچنین متعهد شده اند که این راهپیمایی در سکوت، بدون شعار، بدون سخنرانی، بدون قطعنامه، بدون حمل اسلحه، به طور مسالمت آمیز، با رعایت موازین امنیت ملی و تنها با استفاده از رنگ سبز و پلاکاردهای حاوی "درخواست اجرای بدون تنازل قانون اساسی" و "انتخابات آزاد" برگزار شود.
احزاب اصلاح طلب در نامه خود به وزارت کشور نوشته اند که در صورت صدور مجوز راهپیمایی، انتظامات آن را به عهده می گیرند، اما حفظ امنیت راهپیمایی و جلوگیری از اخلال در آن توسط "افراد فرصت طلب و قانون شکن که هدفشان برهم زدن امنیت است" به عهده نهادهای انتظامی و امنیتی خواهد بود.
تا کنون پاسخی از وزارت کشور صادر نشده است.
