Heard today that police were refusing drivers of ordinary vehicles entry into Tehran, claiming it was due to the air pollution. Although the IRGC website did post a story about traffic restriction last weekend, there was a very heavy presence of police and security, far more than one would expect to simply manage traffic control. Also, the restrictions were being enforced well outside of the central city area.
This leads us to wonder what else might be happening. For example, preparations for road blocks and temporary detention facilities in mosques or other civic buildings in anticipation of protests by students on 16 Azar, which is next Tuesday.
